EX-protected refrigerators

We are repeatedly asked to convert household refrigerators to explosion protection ones. Unfortunately, with most devices, this can only be done with a significant intervention in the electronics, which voids the manufacturer's guarantee. The following interior facilities present great difficulties:

• Lightbulbs
• Temperature controls
• Open temperature sensors
• Drains

Therefore it is necessary to pay attention that none of these installations are situated in a refrigerator which is interesting to be bought.

The portfolio of the company Liebherr includes a large selection of special EX protection devices. These are only available as individual freezers or refrigerators and are slightly more expensive than devices in the consumer sector.
