Scientific career

Chen Gao received his Master’s degree in 2023 from Sichuan University under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Yinghan Wang, where he focused on electrochemical water splitting.

Since 2024, he has been pursuing his PhD in Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Bonn in the group of Prof. Dr. Nikolay Kornienko. His current research focuses on molecular electrocatalysts, biomass oxidation, and the electrochemical valorization of small molecules such as methanol and ammonia into higher-value products.
