 rect functionalization of aromatic C−H bonds is an important goal toward
 s sustainable catalysis. While low-valent Ni(0) complexes are useful catal
 ysts in hydroarylation reactions with electron deficient arenes\, the tran
 sformation of unactivated arenes like benzene is extremely rare. A similar
  picture emerges from stoichiometric reactions\, where only two products o
 f intermolecular of C−H activation at Ni(0) could be isolated so far.
