The project “Molecules for Quantum Information” has been awarded the inaugural Synergy Prize of 50,000 Euros from TRA Matter at the University of Bonn. The project is led by Daqing Wang (Institute for Applied Physics) along with three co-investigators from Chemistry: Connie Lu, Nick Kornienko, and Moritz Sokolowski.
The prize was awarded on November 28th during the annual TRA Matter Networking Event, “Matter Connects”. Various teams in TRA Matter, or Synergy Bubbles, made short pitches regarding their projects. This award will support the development of an experimental setup for “optically detected magnetic resonance,” which will be used for teaching, outreach, and research. We look forward to developing this new research direction!
