Registration

Please find some information about the symposium below before registering.

Upon arrival

  • Check-in opens at 8.15 a.m.
  • Please register at the front desk on the ground floor and collect
    •  your name tag,
    • a single-day parking ticket,
    • a WIFI password.

Oral presentation

  • Please limit your oral presentation to a maximum of 20 minutes.
  • After that, the audience will have 5 minutes to ask questions.
  • From 27 July onwards, you will be able to upload your presentation in advance via a link. You will receive all the necessary information by email in good time.

Poster presentation

  • The number of posters is limited by availability.
  • Please arrive by 8:15 a.m. so you can register and set up your poster without rushing.
  • The poster presentations will take place immediately after lunch - with a nice cup of coffee or tea.
  • All posters are automatically qualified for a prize.
  • Poster prizes will be awarded after the final talk.

Lunch break

The lunch break is open to participants.

    • You can have lunch at the “CAMPO” cafeteria run by the Bonn Student Union. The cafeteria is just a 3-minute walk from the lecture hall. You can pay there with a debit or credit card.
    • Or you can walk from the Lecture Hall to Clemens-August-Straße in Bonn-Poppelsdorf - it’s just a 10-minute walk. There you’ll find a wide variety of restaurants and bakeries.
    • It’s also worth taking a walk to Poppelsdorf Palace, home to the University’s Mineralogical Museum and the Botanical Garden. Both are just a 10-minute walk away and are located next to each other on Clemens-August-Straße/Meckenheimer Allee.

BBQ

After the event, we will be hosting a barbecue in front of the Chemistry Building in Endenich at around 5:30 p.m., and you are cordially invited to join us.

    • Walk: If you need to stretch your legs after sitting for a long time, you can walk to the Chemical Institutes from the Poppelsdorf Lecture Hall Center in about 25 minutes.
    • by public transport: A bus journey takes about as long as the walk, including the time spent walking to and from the bus stop.
    • Car: If you’d like to bring your car, you can park right next to the Chemistry Building and walk across the parking lot to the BBQ. Your daily parking ticket is valid there as well.
    • After the BBQ: If you're travelling by public transport, there are two options for taking the bus to the main station.
