Since 2020, the Bonner Universitätsstiftung has been honoring outstanding young scientists with the Sigrid Peyerimhoff Prizes named after its donor. The award ceremony for the Sigrid Peyerimhoff-Förderpreis 2025 took place on November 13 during a symposium at the Clausius Institute for Physical and Theoretical Chemistry.
After a keynote lecture by Prof. Frank Neese, Director of the Max-Planck für Kohlenforschung, the prizes were awarded. The awardees then presented their research in short talks. This was followed by a poster session, which provided an opportunity for lively scientific exchange among the numerous young scientists who participated in the symposium.
